Before the interview
During an interview, not only do we want to see your love of children shine through, but we want to make sure you are going to contribute positively to our team. Come prepared to speak about your previous experiences, even if you are new to the world of ABA therapy for autism. Relevant skills and knowledge can come from diverse backgrounds!
Before your interview, we encourage you to be familiar with Action Behavior’s mission and operating process and come prepared with some questions to ask us, too.
During the interview
We want to get to know you! We will introduce you to the team you'll be working with and describe a typical day in the role. Regardless of your career stage, we'll highlight the support available for your professional development. We'll discuss your personal, educational, and professional experiences to understand how they align with the role you're applying for.
To understand your career goals better, we might ask the following questions:
- Why do you want to work with children with autism?
- How have you proven to be a strong team player in the past?
- Can you share an example of how you handled a challenging situation at work?
- What strategies do you use to stay organized and manage your time effectively?
- How do you handle feedback and use it to improve your performance?
Remember to ask your interviewer what they love the most about working at Action Behavior—their answer might surprise you!
