This place is a Heaven Sent! My Son was diagnosed 3 years ago. And he is 6 and now has Graduated from this wonderful place! Now heading to first grade! Our Son and Family has always felt supported here. Justin never wanted to miss a day! We are Defiantly going to miss this place! Thank you to the ABC Sugarland Staff for all that you’ve done for my Son! If you’re looking for ABA therapy for your love one look no further, this is the place to go!!!

Taryn O’Neal

ABC had been life changing for both us, and our child. They have been there every step of the way, from the initial testing/diagnosis, to daily check ins and updates at pick up. They helped us with insurance questions and issues, which are overwhelming all on their own. We’ve seen so many improvements in our little one. The therapists and everyone at the facility go above and beyond. I can’t recommend them enough!!

Jennifer Matson

The ABA therapy provided here has been a game changer for my son, who in his own words said "I've learned how to make friends and finally enjoy school." The staff are delightful and knowledgeable, and patiently worked with us as we navigated our own journey through the world of ABA. The staff at ABC gave our family the tools we needed to improve our son's life and ours. It's definitely a team effort and parents need to be willing to put in the investment of learning too, but it's absolutely worth it. We even miss coming here as we had such positive interactions with the staff! Thank you, ABC!

Caroline Hackney

The staff here is on point! I would highly recommend registering in this ABA prog. Our son is 4 years old and has shown major improvement since he’s been enrolled (1.5 months). Never have had a bad experience, all of the techs here are very good with all children from what I’ve witnessed. The director always greets us at the door at drop off and pick up with a very positive attitude. We have really enjoyed the warmth from this facility! Our child has progressed very well in the little time that he has attended. Would rate 10 stars if possible! If you’re looking for a kind and compassionate environment for your kiddos, would definitely consider ABC.

What is ABA therapy, and how does it work?

Applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy is an evidence-based treatment for autism that uses positive reinforcement to help children with autism reduce target behaviors and learn new skills.

ABA therapy, like that administered at Action Behavior Centers, is tailored to the individual needs of the child.

Does ABA therapy work for autism?

Yes! Every child with autism is unique, and some children experience more significant progress with ABA therapy than others. However, studies show that children who receive two or more years of intensive behavioral interventions, such as ABA therapy, can often participate in school and social activities at the same level as their peers.

What is the age range of children you serve?

We serve children on the autism spectrum from 18 months to 13 years and offer personalized programming for their unique needs. Therapy program options may differ based on the clinic. Please reach out directly to a clinic near you.

ABC Age Ranges by Service:
  • ADOS: 18 months - 6 years (+364 days)
  • IDE: 18 months - 6 years (+364 days)
  • In Center Therapy: 18 months - 8 years
  • In Home Therapy: 18 months - 13 years
  • ABC Academy: 5 years - 12 years

Does insurance cover ABA therapy?

Most health insurance plans cover ABA therapy, and we are proud to be in-network with the largest health insurers in our service areas. At ABC, our insurance specialists handle the details, so you don’t have to. We verify your child’s ABA therapy coverage, complete any necessary pre-authorization paperwork, and directly bill the insurance company for services.

What is the ADOS-2 assessment?

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is the leading diagnostic tool specialists use to diagnose ASD. During this natural, play-based assessment, our expert clinicians work with children to evaluate their communication, social skills, and behaviors.

What is applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy?

ABA therapy is the gold standard for helping children with autism learn and meet milestones. This evidence-based therapy method helps children reduce target behaviors through play, positive reinforcement, and other ABA techniques.

What is the CAST?

The Childhood Autism Spectrum Test (CAST) is a 39-item questionnaire for parents that focuses on behaviors and abilities that can indicate ASD. It can help identify children who may benefit from further evaluation and intervention.

What is the M-CHAT?

The Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT™) is a screening tool that parents can use to identify early signs of ASD in children ages 16 to 30 months old. It consists of questions parents answer about their child’s development. If a child receives a high-risk score, they should receive further evaluation by an autism specialist.
